The North Shore Center for Orthopedic Surgery was established in 1962 by Dr. John Duff, who was a pioneer in the emerging field of sports medicine.  He described himself as a "family doctor of orthopedics" and quickly became one of the most respected sports medicine specialists in the Greater Boston area.
