Michael Lovett
Physical TherapistMichael Lovett is a physical therapist at Peterson Sports Therapy. He has been at Peterson Sports Therapy for several years providing personalized, high-quality physical therapy. He was a three-sport athlete in high school—football, basketball, and baseball—and found himself in Dr. Duff’s office following an ankle injury. Following a successful course of rehab, he went on to play football at the collegiate level for Ithaca College culminating in a national championship. He was inspired by his treatment by Dr. Duff and decided to pursue physical therapy. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and completed internships at Queen City Hospital in New York City, NY; Lubin Rehabilitation in the Bronx, NY; Charles Wilson Hospital in Binghamton, NY; and Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, PA. He spent 3 years in Pennsylvania before returning to Peterson Sports Therapy where he has remained for several decades.
Michael is known for compassionate care with a playful sense of humor, leading to the nickname for his office “house of pain.”
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering at his church, and keeping up with Boston sports.
